This paper contains an account of UN/EEC-sponsored research on water quality monitoring and assessments in the catchments areas of Europe's 10 transboundary rivers. In this context, water quality assessments established on the basis of monitoring data for Poland's rivers are discussed. Consideration is also given to the water quality assessment methods recommended by the EU Directives. The problem has been exemplified by the analysis of water quality variations in the transboundary river Odra in the time span of 1973–2003. For the years 1993–2003, the trends in water quality variations are calculated and the rates of variation are analysed. The points in time when the water quality will have attained the second class purity values are predicted, taking into account the requirements specified in Polish, Czech and German standards. Analysis of the trends in the variations of pollution parameters has revealed that the achievability of good water quality depends on the limit values adopted for the assessment.  相似文献

Heavy metals pollution in Jiaozhou Bay was studied inRuditapes. philippinarum, a bioindicator of seawater pollution. Heavy metals in soda industry wastes “white mud” were also studied. Comparison of microwave digestion method with general digestion method revealed that microwave digestion is superior to general digestion in precision, recovery, digestion speed and efficiency, etc. Cd concentration in HongdaoR. philippinarum samples exceeded the national standard by 0.046 mg/kg, that of Yinghai sample by 0.02 mg/kg, and that of Hongshiya sample by 0.22 mg/kg. Sample Pb concentration in Hongshiya was found to exceed the national standard by 0.02 mg/kg. However the heavy metals concentration inR. philippinarum near the Qingdao Alkaline Factory was complied with the standard. This was proved byPenaeus chinensis culture experiment. Therefore, the possible contamination source may come from other land areas. 滇池经过长达7年、投资40多亿元的治理,在污染源头控制上已经取得了明显成绩,在一定程度上缓解了生态环境的进一步恶化。滇池水体水质至今没有好转的根本原因在于对滇池蓝藻爆发机理的认识没有考虑其所处的特殊地理环境。滇池水体富营养化之后,是由于较高的大地热流背景和四季如春的气候条件使蓝藻得以不停息地繁殖,致使滇池的水生生态系统完全瘫痪,水体完全失去自净能力。“抑制蓝藻的繁殖”和“清除水体中的营养物质”两大问题形成了滇池治理中一个难解的死结。解开死结的有效措施是从抚仙湖调清水给滇池换水,恢复草海,提高湖水自净能力,发展水生生态系统,抑制藻类繁殖。  相似文献   

安徽淮北平原水环境污染分析

选取淮河于支流19个省界断面监测点52个月的监测数据，进行科学处理，从地理环境整体性、系统性的角度建立了水环境污染模型，揭示淮北平原水体污染的时空变化规律，讨论了水系结构对水体污染的影响。综合分析了安徽淮北平原水环境整体性污染的原因在于区域人口密度过高，与社会、经济和环境保护不协调；处于生态脆弱地带；生产方式落后，经济水平处于低谷。提出了重在治本，改善生态环境，活跃地表径流；加快经济发展，为环境保护提供经费支持；整治淮河水系，上中下游形成合力；提高环保意识，依法治污等观点。  相似文献   

预测银川市大气主要污染物浓度的一种动力统计模型

本文以箱模式为原理,从大气污染物平流扩散方程出发,经过简化推导,得出预测大气主要污染物浓度的动力统计模型。在模型中既考虑了气象条件的作用,又考虑了起报日的污染物浓度,与纯数学统计模型相比,有着更可信的物理基础;与数值模式相比,本模型不需要污染源排放清单,具有简便易行的优点。利用银川市2001-2004年大气主要污染物SO_2、NO_2、PM_(10)逐日平均浓度监测值和同期地面气象要素资料,通过回归分析确定了主要污染物浓度24 h变率预报方程,经2005年6～9月的预报检验,本模型对银川市大气主要污染物浓度的变化有一定的预报能力。  相似文献

随着南极考察活动的发展和北极地区的开发利用,极地海洋中的石油烃污染逐渐增多。由于这些地区常年处于低温状态,石油烃的自然降解非常缓慢。生物降解是修复污染的一个主要机制,具有经济、高效的特点。极地海洋环境中存在着大量烃降解菌,它们在清除当地石油烃污染中发挥了很大作用,并显现出了低温修复的潜力。本文从极地海洋环境中的石油烃降解菌、影响低温降解的因素、降解基因和低温生物修复四个方面介绍了国外对该领域的研究成果。  相似文献

Research is few in the literature regarding the investigation and assessment of pollutions of soil and plant by municipal waste dumps. Based upon previous work in seven waste dumping sites (nonsanitary landfills) in Beijing, Shanghai and Shijiazhuang, this study expounds the investigation and assessment method and report major pollutants. Using relative background values, this study assesses soil pollution degree in the seven dumping sites. Preliminary conclusions are: (1) pollution degrees are moderate or heavy; (2) pollution distance by domestic waste that is dumped on a plane ground is 85 m; (3) the horizontal transport distance of pollutants might be up to 120 m if waste leachates are directly connected with water in saturated soils; (4) vertical transport depth is about 3 m in unsaturated silty clayey soils. Furthermore, using relative background values and hygiene standards of food and vegetable this study assesses the pollutions of different parts of reed, sorghum, watermelon and sweet-melon. It is found: (1) in comparison with the relative background values in a large distance to the waste dumping sites, domestic wastes have polluted the roots and stems of reed and sorghum, whereas fine coal ash has polluted the leaves, rattans and fruits of watermelon and sweet-melon; (2) domestic wastes and fine coal ash have heavily polluted the edible parts of sorghum, water melon and sweet-melon. As, Hg, Pb and F have far exceeded standard values, e.g., Hg has exceeded the standard value by up to 650–1,700 times and Cd by 120–275 times, and the comprehensive pollution index is up to 192.9–369.7; (3) the polluted sorghum, watermelon and sweet-melon are inedible.  相似文献
